Cryo and iso-rem

Cryogenic treatment and REM isotropic finishing are two seperate processes which increase strength and reduce wear.
Cryogenic treatment is a process of slowly super-freezing and warming to cause changes in metals.
See the article: 'Cryogenics, The Racers Edge'.
Isotropic REM finishing is a patented 'superfinishing' process that is proven to reduce friction and wear.
See the article from: 'The AMPTIAC Quarterly, vol 7, #1'.
These two processes are used together to increase longevity in any gearbox, but are especially beneficial for a racing gearbox.
GBox offers Cryo_REM service for all parts.
Please contact us with any questions about the processes.
