Housing depth measurement

The photos on page 1 show two of the three basic measurements that must be taken prior to differential assembly: the internal height of the baseplate and the stack height (minus the two belleville washers). The first photo on this page shows the internal housing measurement. Refer to the measurement specs to see how these measurements are combined.

If the differential rebuild does not meet the demanding specifications required, there will be reduced performance and increased wear. A quality rebuild is much more than simply replacing the plates.
